So far, it's looking to me like they can "survive" in the Anaether, but only for a limited amount of time, and some are more succeptible than others...
Oh, thanks so much for this feedback, this is super helpful to me. You're actually mostly correct, I think. I'm really glad the most important parts of the visual storytelling is coming through correctly.
This prelude feels like the opening scene of a James Bond movie - the ones where either another "Double-Oh" meets his maker on a mission, or where Bond performs a wacky escape, and then the opening credits start. There's no exposition, most times it's a chase scene, and there's a LOT of campy action.
I see now that there is also a physical transformation, at least for one member of the group.
